If staying in Santo Domingo book a day trip to Boca Chica or Juan Dolio with Taxi Dominicano. Spend the day at the beach and eat at one of the many beach side restaurants. Or book an english soeaking guide to show you the Zona Colonial, Jardin Botanico or other tourist sites in Santo Domingo.

If you prefer visit Santiago de los Caballeros, tour a cigar factory, hang out at "El Monumento", or dance the night away at a local "tipico"

On the North Coast take a cable car ride to the top of Mt Isabel De Torres, or tour the Old Fort in Puerto Plata. Spend an afternoon drinking Ice Cold Presidente while watching the Kite Surfing in Cabarete.

Maybe you want to head west to Barahona and visit the "Polo Magnetico". On this mountain road, drivers can shut off their cars and put them in neutral, and the car will roll uphill!
